Ginger Date Chutney  is a super quick, lip smacking, mouth watering chutney that is also perfect for winter and soar throat.
Ingredients
1 cup – @liondates Dessert King, deseeded.
3 Tbsp – Freshly grated ginger
Juice of one huge lemon
1 tsp salt (optional)
Method
Wash peel and grate fresh ginger.
Grind dates, 2Tbsp ginger and salt into paste.
Try not to use water to grind. If you are not able to grind it without water then use as less as you can.
Transfer it into a bowl.
Mix the remaining ginger and lemon juice.
The chutney should have a hit of spice from ginger and should be tangy. Try and adjust that at this stage.
Put it in an airtight container and refrigerate.
