PEA Lettuce Soup

Ingredients 

1 cup – Fresh peas

1 cup – Lettuce leaves, chopped

6 to 7 nos – Garlic cloves, chopped

1 no – Potato, medium sized, chopped

Salt to taste

1 tsp – Freshly ground pepper 

1/2 ltr – Water

1 tbsp – Oil

  

   

Method

In a casserole, heat the oil. Add crushed pepper and garlic to this. Let the garlic crisp up. Add chopped potatoes to this. And sauté it for a couple of minutes.

  

Pour in the water and cover the casserole with a lid. Let it boil and the potatoes be cooked. 

Add peas to this. Boil for 5 mins. Add lettuce and stir and boil it for one more  minute.

  

Tear the mint leaves and add them. Give it a stir and switch off the flame. Cool it for a minute and blend it till smooth. 

   

 Serve with a dollop of cream or yogurt.
