Danish butter cookies are these small buttery, light, crisp and delicate cookies that just melts in your mouth. Easy to make and beautiful to look at :)
Ingredients
200 gms - Unsalted butter, softened
150gms - Icing sugar
310gms - Plain flour
1 no - Large egg, fresh
1 no - vanilla bean
1 to 2 tbsp - Milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar, for decoration
Instructions
To make the Danish Butter Cookies preheat oven to 180°C.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Cream butter , vanilla and icing sugar till light and fluffy.
Add the egg and beat till well mixed.
Add the flour and fold using a spatula till the mixture comes together.
If the mixture is too dry, add the 1 tbsp to 2 tbsps of milk until a soft but firm batter is formed.
Fill the dough into a piping bag with your desired nozzle.
Create the cookie shapes using piping bag or simply dropping a tsp of batter onto the sheet.
Spring some sugar (optional) and bake for 10-15 minutes or till the cookies turn nice and gold.
Let cool for 10 minutes on a cooling rack then sprinkle some icing sugar.
