DANish Butter Cookies
 
Danish butter cookies are these small buttery, light, crisp and delicate cookies that just melts in your mouth. Easy to make and beautiful to look at :)
Ingredients
  • 200 gms - Unsalted butter, softened
  • 150gms - Icing sugar
  • 310gms - Plain flour
  • 1 no - Large egg, fresh
  • 1 no - vanilla bean
  • 1 to 2 tbsp - Milk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar, for decoration
Instructions
  1. To make the Danish Butter Cookies preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Cream butter , vanilla and icing sugar till light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and beat till well mixed.
  5. Add the flour and fold using a spatula till the mixture comes together.
  6. If the mixture is too dry, add the 1 tbsp to 2 tbsps of milk until a soft but firm batter is formed.
  7. Fill the dough into a piping bag with your desired nozzle.
  8. Create the cookie shapes using piping bag or simply dropping a tsp of batter onto the sheet.
  9. Spring some sugar (optional) and bake for 10-15 minutes or till the cookies turn nice and gold.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes on a cooling rack then sprinkle some icing sugar.
